The Football Power Index has released its picks for the year, including projected win-loss record, playoff chances, Super Bowl odds, and more.
The FPI “is a measure of team strength that is meant to be the best predictor of a team’s performance going forward for the rest of the season. FPI represents how many points above or below average a team is. Projected results are based on 10,000 simulations of the rest of the season using FPI, results to date, and the remaining schedule.”
ESPN’s computer model has done the work and figured out the NFL’s five worst teams heading into the 2025 NFL season:
The New Orleans Saints are projected to be the worst team during the upcoming season, and it’s not hard to see why. Their quarterback room is a mess, especially after Derek Carr retired.
The Titans are a bit of a shock as they are coming into the year with Cam Ward, who was drafted No. 1 overall in the 2025 NFL Draft.
The Browns have too many quarterbacks and not one person running away from the starting job.
Which NFL Teams are favored the most in the 2025 NFL season?
The NFL schedule has been released, draft picks have been made, free agents have been signed, and many trades have happened.
The hype is beginning to build for the upcoming 2025 season. Plenty of storylines and notable matchups are ahead, and the slates are wiped clean in a new race to the top.
As for who the top teams are, the Buffalo Bills are favored in all 17 of their regular-season matchups based on the oddsmakers at DraftKings Sportsbooks.
Buffalo also holds +700 odds of winning the Super Bowl.
The Kansas City Chiefs are favored in 16 of the 17 games this season and are +750 to win the Super Bowl.
The defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles are favored in 15 of the 17 regular-season games for the 2025 NFL season.
They have +650 odds to repeat as Super Bowl Champions.
