Lou Williams loved the shoutout he got from ESPN’s Booger McFarland after the analyst made a shocking admission over the weekend.
The former LSU star provided coverage during the Pop-Tarts Bowl on Saturday. He was asked about his favorite bowl memory during halftime and would confess to spending all of his stipend at a “fine establishment.”
He made no attempts to hide that he was referring to Atlanta’s Magic City, noting that he and Williams share similar tastes in that regard.
“Peach Bowl in Atlanta. 1st time getting per diem $987, went to one nice establishment and I gave it all away. They had some good wings tho. Me. Lou Williams have something in common,” McFarland said on air.

Williams reacted to Booger’s revelation with laughter and a handshake emoji.
The former NBA star infamously got himself into trouble after being photographed at Magic City while the league was in the bubble during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Williams has since explained that he was there because he stopped to pick up food and didn’t stay very long, with the league having permitted his bubble exit for a funeral.
Things blew up after rapper Jack Harlow posted a photo with him.
He insists he was only there for the Lemon Pepper Wings. This, of course, earned him the nickname, “Lemon Pepper Lou.” However, a stripper would push back on his claims of leaving almost immediately.
Williams admitted he didn’t realize how popular Harlow was, which is why he took a photo with him in the first place.
