ESPN predicts Rams to reach the Super Bowl

The Los Angeles Rams haven’t gotten as much media attention in 2025, despite sitting at 6-2 entering the 49ers matchup. L.A. is best positioned to advance to its third Super Bowl under Sean McVay, something that ESPN predicted in a recent article.

In ESPN’s 2025 NFL midseason predictions, reporter Lindsey Thiry anticipates a Rams’ trip to Santa Clara in February:

“Quarterback Matthew Stafford and the Rams have flown somewhat under the radar in the first half of the season, but at 6-2, they are primed to make a run down the stretch. Stafford not only has notable chemistry with wide receiver Puka Nacua, but he has also established a connection with Davante Adams that appears unstoppable. Stafford and Adams have connected on five touchdowns in the past two games alone.”

Perhaps the team could get an early feel for the big game at the Niners’ stadium this weekend. Either way, the Rams are clicking on all cylinders, which bodes very well for Thiry’s prediction to come true. Fingers crossed, huh, Turf Show Ramily?

Matthew Stafford has played at an MVP level, and it’s crazy that he’s never finished higher than eighth in voting for the award. Guess that’s what playing for those crappy Lions team of old will do to a man.

Additionally, Stafford’s chemistry with Puka Nacua and Davante Adams is unmatched, and the veteran quarterback also has a solid running game to match. Throw in one of the league’s best defenses and Stafford might have one, if not the best, supporting cast he’s ever had in his career.

I recently wrote about how the Rams have the 15th-toughest remaining strength of schedule, per Sharp Football Analysis. That includes upcoming matchups with five teams with records above .500. Everything is right in front of L.A., and they’ve frequently demonstrated that they can compete with anyone, something that will be especially important in such a topsy-turvy NFL campaign.

Of course, as we know, anything can happen over the second half of the season. However, this has all the makings of another special season in Hollywood. Now is the time to capitalize on it.
