The Green Bay Packers will be ready for revenge in 2026 after losing in the playoffs last season. Green Bay had quite the eventful offseason, including some painful departures on the offensive side of the ball. That could put more pressure on Green Bay’s most important player.
ESPN’s Dan Graziano dug into the quarterback position for all 32 teams in a recent article. He put pressure on Jordan Love ahead of a crucial 2026 season for the Packers.
“More than ever in Green Bay, Love will be asked to pick up some of the slack for the rest of the roster,” Graziano wrote. “He’s under pressure to stay healthy, to elevate his wide receiver group and maybe to help the offense carry the defense a little bit — at least early in the season.”
Micah Parsons is still recovering from his torn ACL and may miss a few weeks to start the season. His absence, paired with a new defensive scheme under Jonathan Gannon, could put Green Bay’s defense behind the eight ball early in the fall.
Love has yet to recapture the heights he reached during the 2023 season. He logged 4,159 passing yards with 32 touchdowns and 11 interceptions that season, proving that he was worthy of a first-round pick after all. However, he has yet to surpass 4,000 passing yards or 26 touchdowns in the two years since.
The Packers also lost both Romeo Doubs and Dontayvion Wicks during the offseason. That means that Love will have to do more with less in 2026.
To make matters worse, Green Bay plays in one of the NFL’s most difficult divisions. Love may not have much margin for error this season.
“The Packers play in a brutally tough division and always have high expectations,” Graziano concluded. “This will be a big year for Love to show if he’s the guy who can deliver on them.”
It will be exciting to see if Love and the Packers can live up to expectations later this fall.
