To say that San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy took a beating from the Seattle Seahawks’ lights-out defense on Saturday would be a giant understatement.
Brock Purdy and the 49ers laid an egg in Saturday’s crucial prime-time clash with the Seahawks. A 13-3 loss clinched the NFC West and the conference’s top seed for Seattle. As for the 49ers (12-5), they will have to start the postseason on the road.
Per ESPN, Purdy finished the day with just 19 completions for 127 yards, no touchdowns and one interception. He was also sacked three times, and the 49ers were held to 53 rushing yards on the day.
Not only that, but Brock Purdy paid the price in the loss by suffering a bloody thumb after getting hit by two Seattle defenders:

Thumb bleeding. Not sure what else hurts. Probably everything.

The 49ers were the NFC’s top seed when they won the 2019 and 2023 NFC Championship Games. But the road just got a lot harder.Tthey’ll likely have to win three away games to reach Super Bowl 60. That game, of course, is being played at their home venue of Levi’s Stadium.
