Cincy Jungle
In an interview with local media members on Monday (via Paul Dehner), it was announced that Elizabeth Blackburn was recently promoted to Vice President of the Cincinnati Bengals. Her previous title was Director of Strategy and Engagement. She appears to be joining her father, Troy Blackburn, and her uncle, Paul Brown, with the title Vice President. Her mother, Katie, serves as the team’s Executive Vice President.
This likely signals that Elizabeth has moved into a more powerful position within the organization. The move comes on the heels of the Bengals operating much differently than they have previously, prior to this offseason. They traded the 10th pick for a proven commodity in Dexter Lawrence. They recently restructured Joe Burrow’s contract to create more cap space for the 2026 season. And they signed several big-name free agents, including Bryan Cook and Boye Mafe.
While it is unknown how much impact Elizabeth had in these moves, it appears she is helping the Bengals usher in a more modern approach to roster building.
