Corresponding moves.
The Philadelphia Eagles officially announced four roster moves on Tuesday afternoon, one day ahead of their first training camp practice leading up to the 2025 season.
An overview:
We already covered the Okoronkwo and Sykes additions. In short, Okoronkwo will compete to be a rotational edge rusher while Sykes is more of a long shot to make the regular season roster.
Henry and Nichols being deemed expendable comes as no surprise.
The Eagles originally signed Henry to their practice squad in late November 2024 but then cut him before re-signing him four days later back in January. Okoronkwo is a more proven option at Henry’s position.
The Eagles originally signed Nichols to their practice squad in October 2023. They waived him in August 2024 before bringing him back on a five-day practice squad stint in December 2025. They brought him back on the practice squad again on in late January, waived him two days later, and then signed him to their 90-man offseason roster in late February.
Who knows, maybe Henry and/or Nichols will end up back here yet again (assuming they clear waivers) down the road. Or maybe this is truly the end of the road for them in Philly.
