The Philadelphia Eagles have officially done it.
They stopped the Kansas City Chiefs from completing a “three-peat,” winning their second Super Bowl in the past decade.
The Eagles weren’t Super Bowl favorites heading into the season, and they weren’t even the favorites to come out of the NFC when the playoffs started.
When it mattered most, however, they managed to win games, which is all the fanbase could ask for.
Winning the Super Bowl is one of the most important achievements that an NFL athlete can have, a coveted ceremonial ring for trophy cases.
Most of the Eagles players still seem to be in a state of shock and awe, excited that they won, but A.J. Brown is taking a different approach, as he mentioned in a recent Instagram post.
Brown called the hype of being a Super Bowl champion “short-lived,” indicating that it only lasted about two days for him.
He also mentioned that winning a Super Bowl isn’t necessarily what’s important in his mind, but the journey of getting there is the ultimate goal.
These comments can be perceived in many ways, and some fans have even made the leap that Brown wants to be traded, and that he doesn’t enjoy the thrill of winning the big game.
While it’s difficult to speculate on his intent, Brown has been seen as something of a free-thinker and free-spirit throughout his time in the league, and he might just be talking in more general terms to help himself process what has happened over the past few days.
