The past week has been a whirlwind for the Philadelphia Eagles.
In a week, they’ve won the Super Bowl, lost their offensive coordinator to the New Orleans Saints, who will be their newest head coach and are also coming off of their Super Bowl victory parade.
A lot of change has already occurred for this championship team, and things might continue to be shaken up, as Ian Rapoport recently highlighted on X.
Rapoport reported that Doug Nussmeier, the Eagles’ quarterbacks coach, is interviewing with the Saints to potentially become their newest offensive coordinator.
Doug Nussmeier’s interview is today, as well. https://t.co/uILSVzvL8B

On one hand, this would be an excellent opportunity for Nussmeier, who would get a chance to join a staff where he’s already familiar with the head coach.
The Saints are in tough shape, especially on offense, and Nussmeier could help them get back on track.
On the other hand, if Nussmeier leaves, the Eagles will need to replace major pieces of their coaching staff over the next few months, which could put them at a deficit heading into the 2025 campaign.
They’ll still have Nick Sirianni as their head coach, of course, but their offensive and defensive schemes could look different under new coordinators.
The good news is that the Eagles are slated to retain many of their top players, which should help them maintain some continuity during the 2025 campaign.
Leadership might be changing, but if these players stay motivated under Sirianni, there’s no telling what they might be able to accomplish during the next few seasons.
