The newly-minted Super Bowl champions are expected to be back in the big game 12 months from now.

The Philadelphia Eagles opened as the favorite to win Super Bowl 60 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara.

The Birds sit at +600 to hoist the Vince Lombardi Trophy for the second consecutive year, while the second favorite, is surprise, surprise, the Kansas City Chiefs.

Kansas City is listed at +700 along with the Buffalo Bills and Baltimore Ravens., so nothing really changed on the early Super Bowl 60 odds board compared to where things sat at the start of the postseason.

The Eagles, Chiefs, Bills, and Ravens were all close together. The Detroit Lions, who are +1000 to win Super Bowl 60, were in that mix as well before their defense crumbled in the divisional round.

The usual cast of characters will be in the mix for the title again, because, well there will not be significant changes on any of those rosters.

The Eagles’ offensive core is in place, and while the defense may experience some personnel changes, the young guys, like Jalen Carter, Nolan Smith and Jordan Davis, will still be around.

Mahomes, Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson will all be out for blood in the AFC for different reasons. Jackson and Allen just want to get to the Super Bowl, while Mahomes should use Super Bowl 59’s blowout loss as motivation.

The biggest question surrounding the trio of regular AFC contenders is whether or not Travis Kelce is playing another season. I’m sure we’re going to hear countless retirement rumors over the next few weeks before he actually makes a call on 2025.

The second question mark in the AFC is how Buffalo reshapes its offense. The 2024 season was supposed to be a rebuilding year for the Bills, so now in theory, they should load up around Allen.

Detroit needs to improve its defense to contend with the Birds in the NFC. Getting Aidan Hutchinson back healthy will be a huge boost for that.

Washington should be in the mix with Jayden Daniels expected to take a step forward, but after that, is there any clear threat in the NFC?

It’s probably not going to be the 49ers because they have to make decisions on who to pay and who to trade, with Deebo Samuel front and center on that front.

Green Bay doesn’t have a top-tier wide receiver and the Rams are in a weird spot where Cooper Kupp sounds like he’s out and they have to retouch the offense.

There’s always one team that comes out of nowhere, like Washington did in 2024, but that team typically just makes the playoffs and wins one or two games and doesn’t surge right into the Super Bowl.

I don’t think anyone would be surprised if the Eagles or Lions, or even the Commanders go up against the Chiefs, Bills or Ravens in Super Bowl 60.
