The 2025 NFL season got off to QUITE the start.

Just seconds into the opening kickoff between the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles… tensions flared.

Dallas received to be clear and an Eagles player was being tended to after being injured on the actual kickoff play. As teams were getting set to begin, Eagles defensive tackle Jalen Carter walked over to the Cowboys huddle and appeared to spit on Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott.

To put it frankly… this was incredibly unforeseen. Carter is arguably the best defensive player on the Eagles and has significantly changed their defense since joining the team. For him to be tossed so soon was not on anybody’s bingo card.

Time will tell what did (or what allegedly at least) happened to cause Carter to (seemingly) spit on Prescott during the scuffle.

Again… this is pretty unprecedented. The Cowboys went on to score a touchdown on the drive for what it’s worth.
