The Philadelphia Eagles secured a 10-7 victory over the Green Bay Packers on Monday night with contributions from several developing defensive players. Moro Ojomo has emerged as one of the most notable contributors on the defensive line this season.

The seventh-round pick from the 2023 NFL Draft has taken on a larger role following Milton Williams’ departure from the roster. Analyst Brenden Deeg recently highlighted the impressive statistics Ojomo has compiled through the first half of the season.

Among all defensive tackles, Ojomo ranks second in hurries with 23 and second in pressure rate at 14.4 percent. He also sits sixth in total pressures with 28 and seventh in win rate at 19.4 percent.

Moro Ojomo's ranking among all DTs:

Hurries: 2nd (23)
Pressure rate: 2nd (14.4%)
Pressures: 6th (28)
Win %: 7th (19.4%)

Ojomo has filled the void left by Williams while using his speed and motor to capitalize on opportunities created by teammates like Jalen Carter drawing attention. Coaches have praised his instincts and ability to diagnose plays before they develop.

Against Green Bay, Ojomo demonstrated those traits on a fourth-down stop when he read the play early and helped force a turnover at a critical moment. The 24-year-old entered the season projected as a rotational option with developmental potential.

Given Philadelphia’s depth along the defensive line, Ojomo was not expected to compete for significant snaps early in his career. His performance has exceeded those projections as he continues generating consistent pressure and recording multiple sacks through the opening weeks.

Ojomo’s transition from reserve to full-time starter reflects both his individual growth and the Eagles’ ability to develop talent within their defensive system. His production alongside Philadelphia’s established front has strengthened one of the league’s most formidable defensive units.
