The Philadelphia Eagles are fresh off winning the Super Bowl, the organization’s second title in the past decade.
Philadelphia wasn’t necessarily the title favorite heading into the season, but they proved dominant on both sides of the ball, wearing down their opponents.
Many believe that if they stay together, this team can be a powerhouse for the foreseeable future.
To do that, they’ll have to pay top dollar to retain their best talent, and several players are due for contract extensions over the next few months.
Zack Baun is among them, and ML Football recently projected him to land a three-year deal for $40 million.

This would make Baun the 5th highest-paid linebacker in the NFL.

This would make Baun the fifth-highest-paid linebacker in the league, but considering that he was an All-Pro and a candidate for Defensive Player of the Year, he will likely be worth every penny.
The Eagles have already signed Jalen Hurts to a major extension, and much of their offense is locked up through the 2025 campaign.
It might be easier to pay Baun now, as they could have some difficult decisions to make in 2026.
Nothing is guaranteed in this league, but considering how the Eagles dominated this year and the relative weakness of their division, it shouldn’t be difficult to imagine them back in a similar position in 2025.
Nick Sirianni proved his doubters wrong all season, giving fans confidence that he’s the right leader for the organization moving forward.
It will be interesting to see what Baun’s contract looks like, along with any other players they decide to re-sign in the near future.
