The Philadelphia Eagles hadn’t looked as dominant in the first month of the season, but they were undefeated.
Now, they’ve lost their last two games.
More than that, their offense doesn’t look explosive at all, with new offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo calling the most predictable running game we’ve seen in years.
To add insult to injury, Jalen Hurts has been either unable or unwilling to feed A.J. Brown, with the former Tennessee Titans star getting mostly scripted touches.
That’s why, after watching his careless attitude and his detachment from the rest of the team, it looks like he could be on his way out.
According to a report by Dianna Russini of The Athletic, Brown could be a trade candidate this season:
Brown has a long and well-documented history of temper tantrums, and he had built a bit of a diva reputation during his days in Music City.
Even last season, when things were going well for his team, he often stirred the pot for his uncalled-for shots at his quarterback, who was once one of his closest friends.
Granted, Hurts’ ability to read coverages and passing skills have been a subject of debate for years now, but dirty laundry should be kept in-house nonetheless.
Brown doesn’t even seem to care whether he’s getting involved in the offense or not, and that’s actually worse than him being mad.
Patullo needs to step up or step out, but Brown also needs to do his part, and if he’s not willing to do that, he won’t be there for much longer.
