The Philadelphia Eagles have one of the best wide receiver duos in the NFL.

Either A.J. Brown or DeVonta Smith would be WR1 on almost any team.

However, even good things can be better, and the Eagles aren’t the exception to that rule.

According to Eagles offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo, they may have found another gem in Jahan Dotson.

“I mean, he’s a really good route runner. That’s the one thing when you put the tape on or you watch him in person, his route running ability is really dynamic, and I think his maturity of just being around the other guys, you can start to feel him in different ways in the offense. I think what he’s shown, too, is you can move him around. I don’t know necessarily if we knew that when we first got him, but now he’s in a spot where we can put him anywhere and we feel confident. So I think his game has grown tremendously from that standpoint,” Patullo said, via John Clark of NBC Sports Philadelphia.

Dotson is about to enter his fourth year in the NFL.

A first-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, he failed to establish himself with the Washington Commanders and didn’t do much after being traded to the Eagles, either.

Even so, he’s 25 years old and was considered to be a dynamic pass catcher with a bright future coming out of Penn State.

Dotson made 19 receptions for 216 yards last season.

Now, he’s reportedly taken full ownership of Patullo’s offense and could be in for a big role behind their superstar duo.

It’s not like the Eagles needed more weapons.

They have arguably the best roster in the league, but taking risks on high-upside players usually pays off for them.

They don’t need to rush anything and can afford to be patient, and that approach may have gone in their favor again with Dotson.
