After not practicing all week, Dolphins WR Jaylen Waddle is listed as doubtful against the 49ers.

The Miami Dolphins released their final injury report of the week on Friday, notably listing wide receiver Jaylen Waddle as doubtful with a right knee injury for Sunday’s game against the San Francisco 49ers. While Waddle has not missed a game this season, he left the Dolphins matchup against the Texans last week early after a scary collision. He has not practiced at all this week.

Waddle was the sixth-overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft and has consistently been an excellent wideout since turning pro. Waddle’s elite speed has helped him put together three 1,000-yard receiving seasons heading into this year. This season, though, with the emergence of Jonnu Smith as a top receiving tight end, Waddle has seen his production take a dip.

In 14 games this season, he has recorded 54 receptions for 700 yards and two touchdowns. Despite that dip, Waddle remains a dynamic threat for quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. Miami’s receiving corp also has been hit extremely hard by injuries, leaving their depth chart extremely barren behind Waddle and top receiver Tyreek Hill. Malik Washington and River Cracraft are the only Dolphins receivers not listed on the injury report.

Hill was listed as questionable with “wrist/personal” as the explanation, but he participated in multiple practices and seems likely to play. However, if Hill and Waddle both are out, Tagovailoa would not have an available receiver with more than 106 receiving yards on the season.
