A man’s attempt to make a few extra bucks for the Carolina Panthers-Los Angeles Rams Wild Card Round game outside Bank of America Stadium ended in disaster.

As every football fan knows, most NFL stadiums charge outrageous prices for beverages, especially alcohol. So, one fan tried a genius tactic before the first Carolina Panthers’ home playoff game in a decade.

X/Twitter user Dennis Cox shared a video of a fan selling alcoholic beverages in a cooler just outside the stadium. But when he was caught by the police? The fan had to pour out the unsold drinks, meaning a significant loss in cash:

Man, that must be around $50 worth of alcohol being dumped out. What a travesty that he couldn’t at least hand out the remaining drinks to other fans in the area. But we suppose the law’s the law.

Carolina Panthers Charge Over $10 Per Beer

According to Fox 5 NY, Bank of America Stadium charges $10.49 for a single 16-ounce beer. 16 teams charge more per beer, led by the Washington Commanders’ outrageous price of $16.49.

The Carolina Panthers may not charge as much as half the league. But for those who don’t drink alcohol and are unfamiliar with prices, you can get a 15-pack for roughly the same price at your local Walmart.

This Carolina fan was smart for trying to make the extra cash. But having to pour out all of that alcohol is just a shame for him and his business. Hopefully, he made a profit before the cops caught him.
