The New England Patriots beat the New York Giants 33-15 on “Monday Night Football”, and quarterback Drake Maye put up another impressive performance.

Maye threw for 282 yards and two touchdowns and is now the leader in the NFL MVP race.

As of Monday, Maye is the frontrunner for MVP with odds of -125, according to FanDuel. Meanwhile, Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford trails closely behind at +130.

Stafford was the clear favorite heading into Week 13; however, a pair of interceptions and a lost fumble in a defeat against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday caused Stafford to fall behind Maye.

If Maye maintains his exceptional performance, he should be in line for MVP. The Patriots have a bye week in Week 14, but they return on Dec. 14 for a crucial matchup against the Buffalo Bills, followed by a game against the Baltimore Ravens.

If Maye has an outstanding performance in both games, he could clinch the award. It’s impressive to see him at the top of the NFL awards list in his second season, and hopefully, he can secure both the league MVP and the Vince Lombardi Trophy in the same year.
