The 2025 NFL season is right around the corner, and it will be one of change for the New England Patriots offense. Besides hiring Mike Vrabel as head coach and Josh McDaniels’ return as offensive coordinator, the Patriots will also feature several new faces on that side of the ball.
Two of the highest-profile additions are free agency signing Stefon Diggs and second-round draft pick TreVeyon Henderson. Based on their performances and usage this summer, both project to play major roles for the team and its quarterback, Drake Maye.
Maye, Diggs and Henderson will be key cogs in the Patriots’ offensive machinery this year. As they go, so will the unit as a whole, and as a look at their stat projections for the upcoming season courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook shows, there is some slight optimism.
Passing TDs: O/U 20.5
Passing yards: O/U 3,275.5 (-114)
To Score 7+ Rushing TDs in Regular Season (+490)
All eyes are on Drake Maye in New England as the No. 3 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft enters his sophomore season. A healthy Maye would need to average just under 200 passing yards per game in order to eclipse his passing yard total, while his dual threat ability has already flashed again this preseason when he scrambled for a touchdown against the Commanders.
Receiving Yards: O/U 750.5 (-114)
Receiving TDs: O/U 4.5
1,000+ Regular Season Receiving Yards (+230)
AP NFL Comeback Player of the Year (+2500)
Prior to suffering a torn ACL last season, Diggs remained on a 1,000-yard pace over his first eight games as a Houston Texan — despite being used more as a chain mover than a downfield threat. While he’s had quiet stretches at times this summer, Diggs could return to a high volume role now in Josh McDaniels’ offense if healthy.
750+ Regular Season Rushing Yards (-110)
1,000+ Regular Season Rushing Yards (+320)
6+ Regular Season Rushing TDs (+135)
8+ Regular Season Rushing TDs (+250)
AP NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year (+1,200)
New England’s second-round rookie has shined the entire summer brining much needed speed and explosiveness to the Patriots offense. Henderson looks set to play a big role from the jump as both a ball carrier and pass catcher — where he could be the team’s best downfield threat. After returning the opening kickoff in the preseason 100-plus yards for a score, Henderson then added a touchdown on the ground in the Patriots’ second preseason game.
