The Patriots secured another victory, defeating the Cincinnati Bengals 26-20 on Sunday. While New England celebrated the win, quarterback Drake Maye didn’t quite shine in his performance.

Maye passed for 294 yards, tossing one touchdown but also throwing an interception that turned into a pick-six.

While securing victories remains New England’s top priority, Maye still focuses on racking up impressive stats in pursuit of the NFL MVP. However, he now trails far behind Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford in MVP odds.

After throwing for 273 yards and three touchdowns in the Rams’ impressive 34-7 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday, Stafford emerged as the clear favorite to win MVP, with odds at -220. Close behind him is Maye, sitting at +220 odds, according to FanDuel.

Stafford has thrown for 2,830 yards and 30 touchdowns this season, with just two interceptions. In comparison, Maye has posted 3,130 yards, 21 touchdowns, and six interceptions over 12 games, which is one more game than Stafford has played.

Maye still has a shot at winning the MVP, but he’ll need an outstanding final month of the season. Additionally, he’ll require Stafford to cool off a bit, which hasn’t been evident so far.
