With Miami Dolphins defensive tackle Zach Sieler finally receiving the extension and raise that many fans believed he was due this past week, I asked the following question:
Who is currently on the Miami Dolphins roster that you believe needs/deserves a new deal/extension sooner rather than later?
Below are some of your thougths and answers-
Dolfanjoe wants to see the team lock the LB up now.
Jordon Brooks , should be extended for at least 2 more years now !
glen55 is a maybe on Brooks and out on the rest for now.
I don’t think there’s anybody else, really, in Sieler’s situation: established star the team wants to keep with a contract coming due. Maybe Brooks?
SuperG! is in a wait-and-see pattern on Minkah.
We all saw that right after Minkah got his restructure his agent immediately said that was step 1 and step 2 is to get him an extension. I’ll see how I feel about that after the season is over because there’s no doubt he will be chirping for money next offseason.
sdphinsfan says wait and see what the rest do this season before throwing any money at any of them.
Right now…nobody. End of the season, we’ll see. Minkah has a good year…ok. Phillips stays healthy and does what he can do, interesting decision. Might want to start saving some $$ for Chop too, considering what the top Edge guys are getting.
tvegas897 is another in the wait-and-see camp.
Im gonna go out on a limb and say nobody. Let’s see how some players perform on the field….assuming they stay on the field!
Yarganaught might get his wish by the end of camp.
Cam Smith needs a new contract… $0/0years
cyberflea says Prove it first!
No one else as it is now. It’s time to prove it on the field. Phillips needs to show he can come back and play at a high level after some serious injuries and stay healthy.
StanleyDoyle1 wants a LB to stick around…
Quinton Bell.
JUK wants to lock up an LB and OL and wait for some others until after the season.
Brooks and brewer will both have one year left after this season, and played well above their deals on year 1. If they are maintaining their level this year I’d look at both.
Minkah and JP are both play this season then we will talk for different reasons. Achane will be a big call after this season too
phinette is in a wait-and-see from Phillips and is looking for an out-of-town ticket for Tua.
I am with everyone who says stay put and see how the year plays out. JP’s injury history is a problem. If he stays healthy and plays at the level we know he can then defensively pay the man. Anyone know how soon we can move on from Tua?
With a few exceptions, it seems as if most of the...
