Miami Dolphins cornerback Jalen Ramsey might not be on the move just yet. The Dolphins and the seven-time Pro Bowler have mutually agreed to a trade and have been seeking a parter for a such a deal, a process that could include the Pittsburgh Steelers.

But fellow Miami star Tyreek Hill said over the weekend that he’s going to work to try to find a way to keep Ramsey in Miami.

“I’m going to hang out with Ramsey,” Hill said at Fanatics Fest. “I’m going to get him back, full-court press, I’m getting him, Ramsey, back in a Dolphins jersey. I don’t care what they say — it’s tampering, whatever, we need Ramsey. He’s a dog. He’s one of the best corners in the league, man. Great leader, great teammate too, though. That’s what he doesn’t get a lot of credit for. We just need him on the Dolphins, man.”

It’s unclear why the Dolphins and Ramsey both appear to be most comfortable seeking a trade. He signed a new contract with the team before the 2024 season, and that deal has been a significant impediment to finding him a new home.

Ramsey is owed $21.1 million for the 2025 season — all of which is guaranteed — and then another $66.7 million in non-guaranteed salary from 2026-27. The Los Angeles Rams and Chargers are both seen as likely suitors for Ramsey.

The Steelers have been rumored to be involved despite not having a vacancy at outside cornerback. Ramsey has played some in the slot, where he would like be an upgrade over former undrafted free agent Beanie Bishop.

Hill himself has been the subject of trade rumors after he repeatedly said this offseason that he wanted to leave the Dolphins. His contract status likely would make such a move impossible for Miami to undertake.
