Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has fans speculating about his playing future after making a significant personal life decision.

Some concerned fans and pundits have called for Tua Tagovailoa to retire because of his concerning concussion injury. Tagovailoa suffered three confirmed concussions in the 2022 and 2024 seasons, causing him to miss 10 regular season games but Miami’s 2022 Wild Card Round contest against the Buffalo Bills.

Tagovailoa didn’t give any significant hints about potentially retiring after suffering his third concussion in 2024. But a new personal life decision has created more buzz that he might actually consider calling it quits at the age of 27.

Per Charlie Lankston of Realtor.com, Tua Tagovailoa has put his $3 million mansion on the market. The home, located in Davie, Florida, was purchased five years ago by the 2020 first-round pick for $1.65 million.

Tagovailoa’s lakeside mansion includes five bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms, a personal home theater and a golf putting green.

It’s easy and natural for fans to guess that Tua Tagovailoa may be retiring and moving out of the area, but it’s more likely that he’s found (or is searching for) another home that better suits his liking.

Last July, the Dolphins signed their franchise signal-caller to a four-year contract extension worth a whopping $212.4 million, of which $167.171 million is guaranteed.

The Dolphins were 6-5 in games started by Tagovailoa last season, but 2-4 in games started by Tyler Huntley and Skylar Thompson. Tagovailoa was responsible for 19 of Miami’s 22 passing touchdowns, a clear reminder of just how much of a difference he makes when he’s healthy.
