Dolphins face uphill battle as injuries pile up ahead of Week 6

It’s only October, but the injuries are piling up for the Miami Dolphins as they prepare to face the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 6 of the 2025 NFL season.

Currently, the Dolphins have 14 players on their injured reserve list, with 5 of those players being starters.

• Tyreek Hill — WR (Out for season)
• Jason Sanders — K
• Jason Marshall Jr. — CB
• Andrew Meyer — C
• Yodny Cajuste — OT
• Germain Ifedi — G
• Alexander Mattison — RB
• Jalin Conyers — TE
• Obinna Eze — OT
• Kader Kohou — CB (Out for season)
• Artie Burns — CB
• Jason Maitre — CB
• Liam Eichenberg — OT (Undisclosed injury, placed on PUP list)

In regards to availability for Week 6, only Austin Jackson and James Daniels had an outside chance of returning to action, but that doesn’t seem to be the case anymore. Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel said that both Jackson and Daniels are “weeks away” from returning to action. Jackson has been dealing with a toe injury, while Daniels tore his pectoral muscle in Week 1.

But, Miami’s injury problems don’t stop there. Outside of the injured reserve list, the Dolphins still face injuries to three key active players.

• Storm Duck — CB (Ankle)
• Cedrick Wilson Jr. — WR (Knee)
• Tyrel Dodson — LB (Concussion)

Both Duck and Wilson missed Miami’s 24-27 loss to the Carolina Panthers in Week 5, but Dodson entered into concussion protocol following the game. It’s unclear whether any of these players will be available for Week 6, so stay tuned for the Dolphins initial injury report on Wednesday.
