A toe injury has sidelined New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers.
Head coach Brian Daboll said earlier this spring that Nabers had been bothered by the issue since he was at LSU and that the team did not believe it was a serious problem.
Coming off a sensational and historic rookie campaign, Nabers has been sidelined throughout the offseason workout program due to a toe injury.
There doesn’t seem to be much cause for concern, but one person is sounding the alarm.
A prominent NFL doctor, @profootbaldoc on social media, thinks it is a huge red flag that Malik Nabers is not participating in OTAs or mini camp due to this injury.

The doctor pointed out that Nabers hadn’t played football in over five months and thought that another two months would not fix the situation.
It’s too early to take risks for the New York Giants.
Malik Nabers’ offseason setback has kept him out of the mix throughout the team’s set of spring sessions.
As several players managed to settle in and get comfortable with veteran quarterback Russell Wilson, a toe injury prevented Nabers from building with his new quarterback.
The trend continued this week, leading to more questions for Giants head coach Brian Daboll.
During a Thursday press conference last week, Daboll gave an update on the wide receiver’s condition.
“He did a little bit of walkthrough here, but he’s progressing,” Daboll said via a transcript from the team. “He’ll be OK.”
The limited work for Malik Nabers now may improve his chances of being 100 percent in the fall, but that is mere speculation at this point.
