Today, it’s the team running back position, where Kenneth Gainwell seems poised to pass Jalen Warren as the team’s starter.
Gainwell has had a larger-than-expected share of the carries all season, and that trend continued in a big way on Monday night, when he took off for 80 yards on 13 carries. Warren was dealing with an illness before that game, but it just seems that for whatever reason, Arthur Smith has preferred to use more of Gainwell this season.
