Welcome to Steelers Morning Rush, our new daily short-form podcast with Alan Saunders, giving a longer perspective on a single news topic surrounding the Pittsburgh Steelers or the National Football League. Today, it’s the play of safeties Kyle Dugger and Jalen Ramsey, who have stabilized the team’s secondary since their installment as starters, with Dugger coming over in a trade from the New England Patriots and Ramsey moving from cornerback to free safety.
Against the Cincinnati Bengals the second time around, the Pittsburgh secondary did much better facing Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins and the play of the safeties was a big part of it. Was that just one solid game, or have Mike Tomlin and Teryl Austin found a fix that can last over the course of the season?
Alan breaks it down.
