Did Joe Burrow hand Myles Garrett the sack record?

Joe Burrow made it clear he wasn’t overly concerned with Myles Garrett setting the single-season sack record against him before the Cincinnati Bengals and Cleveland Browns faced off for the season finale.

And then, for three and a half quarters, Burrow did a great job of avoiding the pass rush specialist.

But, in the end, Garrett caught Burrow to get to 23 sacks, becoming the sack king.

Fans and analysts alike are wondering if Burrow didn’t fight hard enough to escape Garrett and wanted to hand him the record.

And there is, of course, precedent for this sentiment.

Back in 2002, Michael Strahan of the New York Giants sacked Green Bay Packers QB Brett Favre to get to 22.5 sacks, a then-NFL record.

Favre went down pretty easy, causing many to wonder if he wanted to hand the record over to Strahan.

So what do you think?
