Pride of Detroit
The Detroit Lions can’t afford a slip-up in Week 10. After losing two of their past three games, the Lions suddenly find themselves on the very edge of the NFC playoff race.
All week, the discussion has been about their lackluster offense. While they technically rank second in the NFL in points per game, they have struggled in the past few weeks. Both the offensive line and offensive coordinator John Morton have come under fire, and they could use a bounce-back game badly to restore confidence.
Facing off against a beat-up Washington Commanders defense could be just what the doctor ordered. The Commanders defense has struggled all season, and they’re more beat up than ever. Last week, they lost Marshon Lattimore, who joins the following Washington defenders on injured reserve: Will Harris, Drake Jackson, Javontae Jean-Baptiste, and Deatrich Wise Jr. As a result, the Commanders have given up an average of 33.8 points per game on their current four-game losing streak.
Can the Lions finally wake up on offense and build up confidence before facing the Philadelphia Eagles next week? Or will the Lions struggles continue, dropping confidence in the team’s ability to turn things around?
