Buffalo Rumblings
Week 14 of NFL action gets underway tonight with a great NFC matchup between the Detroit Lions and Dallas Cowboys. Yes, it’s irksome to see the Cowboys be given a primetime game almost every week, but here we are — living in Jerry’s World. Interesting as it may be, tonight’s Thursday Night Football game sees two Thanksgiving mainstays doing battle. That’s allowed both teams to escape the dreaded short week found in playing primetime games on Thursday — at least for this week.
So yes, while we’ve really seen a lot of Jerry’s Cowboys in the past month — broadcast ratings tell us any complaint about it is moot. Now that they’re playing winning football and quarterback Dak Prescott has found magic with wide receivers CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens, we’re sure to see more of this here Dallas football team in the years to come.
In terms of Week 14 rooting interests for the Buffalo Bills, there’s nothing to be found. What there is, however, is another spotlight occasion to root on the Lions while rooting against the Cowboys. At 7-5, Detroit is in a fight now to make the postseason, while a 6-5-1 Dallas team is seen as surging thanks to better opportunities within their division.
Some good news for Detroit is that wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown will play this evening. To keep up with all the news surrounding the Lions and Cowboys, head to Pride Of Detroit and Blogging The Boys.
Here’s your open thread to kick off Week 14 of NFL football. As always, be kind to one another — and in all things… Go Bills!
