The Detroit Lions remain one of the most popular teams when it comes to official NFL merchandise sales.

On Wednesday, the NFL Players Association dropped the top-50 player rankings of officially-licensed NFL merchandise sales. The Detroit Lions continue to prove their value as a growing franchise by landing five players on the list. The list covers a full calendar year, from March 1, 2024 to February 28, 2025.

Here’s where the Lions players landed:

  • Aidan Hutchinson — 7th
  • Amon-Ra St. Brown — 8th
  • Jahmyr Gibbs — 20th
  • Jared Goff — 22nd
  • Sam LaPorta — 47th

Now let’s break those players down by where they rank in sales by positions. Hutchinson is first among edge defenders, St. Brown is first among receivers, Gibbs is third among running backs, Goff is 12th among quarterbacks, and LaPorta is third among tight ends.

Beyond that, the Lions have the honors of being the only team who has three players in the top-20 in sales, and join the Eagles as the only other with two top-10 players.

These rankings go well beyond just jersey sales. Per the NFLPA, this includes a wide variety of NFL-licensed merchandise, including “apparel, bobbleheads, accessories, figurines, wall decals, backpacks, drinkware, and more.”

Despite the strong rankings for the Lions this year, the merchandise sales were even better last year. In 2024, the Lions had three players ranked in the top-10: Hutchison at three, St. Brown at four, and Gibbs at eight. Both Goff (19) and LaPorta (44) also took small tumbles this year. And Penei Sewell, who ranked 46th last year, was not in the top-50 of this year’s list.
