The Cleveland Browns opened as 7-point underdogs against the New England Patriots ahead of their Week 8 match-up, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. The over/under on the game is 40.5.

The Browns (2-5) are coming off of their best win of the season, as they defeated the Miami Dolphins by a score of 31-6. After weeks of frustration, the defense took it all out on Miami, including three interceptions and one forced fumble. Quinshon Judkins ran for three touchdowns on offense, as the Browns scored more than 17 points for the first time all season. The question is, did Cleveland finally find some mojo, or are the Dolphins just that bad?

The Patriots (5-2) have been one of the NFL’s surprise teams this year, as they even lead the AFC East over the Buffalo Bills at the moment. QB Drake Maye has been great, completing 75.2% of his passes with 12 touchdowns to just 2 interceptions. The defense and special teams units have also played complementary football. Oddly enough, though, they have a 1-2 record at home and are 4-0 on the road. Some have also questioned just how legitimate they are, due to their weak schedule. They’ve beaten the Dolphins, Panthers, Saints, and Titans, who are all considered teams near the bottom of the NFL. They also have a big win over the Bills, though. From my vantage point, they deserve a ton of credit for what they’ve done so far: winning is winning.
