The Philadelphia Eagles had to go through endless heartbreak to get to the point they are right now.
Year in and year out, the fan base got their hopes up, but to no avail.
They were pretty close to getting the monkey off their backs multiple times, and they had no shortage of talent in their ranks.
Notably, that’s why DeSean Jackson will never forgive head coach Chip Kelly.
In a recent streaming session, the former wide receiver claimed that he would never respect Kelly because of how he mishandled the Eagles’ roster, stating that he ‘dismantled’ the dominant offense they had (via MLFootball):
“I don’t respect Chip Kelly. You can talk to anybody that was ever a Philadelphia Eagle fan, and they’ll tell you the same thing. He dismantled the team, bro. There was no way you get rid of DeSean Jackson, LeSean McCoy, Michael Vick, Jeremy Maclin. You really broke down the team, bro. We were Philadelphia,” Jackson said.

He has a valid point, as they had one of the most explosive sets of playmakers in the game.
Nevertheless, even when they were out there and wreaking havoc together, the team failed to get to the next level.
Eventually, the Eagles finally got over the hump, not with Chip Kelly or Andy Reid but with Doug Pederson.
The Eagles may have the loudest and most passionate fan base in all of sports, and as such, they will always be held to a certain standard.
Fortunately for them, they’ve now grown to become the team to beat, and as good as that previous roster was, this might be the greatest roster in franchise history.
