Denver Broncos odds shift heading into NFL training camp

Sean Payton and Denver now sit at +2,800 to win the Super Bowl at FanDuel Sportsbook as training camp nears.

Good morning, Broncos Country!

For the first time in over a decade, there’s legitimate optimism surrounding the Denver Broncos.

There’s hype from national media predicting the Broncos to win the AFC West.

And the odds have shifted since the NFL Draft. As it stands at FanDuel Sportsbook heading into training camp, Denver is +2,800 to win the Super Bowl. The Broncos were +3,100 after the Draft concluded. Denver is tied with the Los Angeles Chargers.

The Buffalo Bills and Baltimore Ravens are the favorites at +700, followed by the Philadelphia Eagles at +750 and the Kansas City Chiefs at +800.

The Broncos currently sit at +1,400 to win the AFC. That is behind the Bills (+360), Ravens (+370), Chiefs (+390), Cincinnati Bengals (+1,000), Houston Texans +1,200), and the Chargers (+1,300).

As for the AFC West, which could happen, has Denver at +330 behind Kansas City at -190 and LA at +320.

The other futures market for the Broncos is the playoffs. FanDuel has them at -114 to make the playoffs and -106 to miss the playoffs. Of the betting markets, this is the one with the worst value (especially if you think Denver will make the playoffs).

Some of the other Broncos betting markets involve awards. While completely unlikely, Pat Surtain II is +3,300 to win NFL Defensive Player of the Year for a second-straight season. Head coach Sean Payton is +2,500 to win NFL Coach of the Year. If Denver did win the AFC West and end the Chiefs’ streak of nine in a row, Payton would likely win the award.

Whether you bet on the Broncos or not, it’s finally exciting to be a fan of the franchise again.
