The heat on Travis Hunter’s relationship has cooled ahead of his rookie NFL season, but Dennis Rodman still managed to take a shot at him during a recent podcast appearance.
Hunter’s coupling with Leanna Lenee was the subject of rife criticism earlier this year. Thousands of social media users urged the former Colorado star to do away with his partner, who they thought was only around for the money, based on certain actions. Even former star receiver Dez Bryant had a say, unleashing a fiery speech about the relationship.
Hunter ignored the critics and has since married Lenee, stirring fans’ wrath with his decision on a prenup agreement.
Rodman, one of the most controversial athletes of his time, was a guest on Neon’s stream on Saturday. In a video trending on Twitter/X, he threw shade at Hunter after being asked, “A 21-year-old young man, what advice could you give me to evolve as a human being?”
“Just don’t be Travis Hunter,” he replied before laughing.

Meanwhile, Travis Hunter’s arrival in Jacksonville has given the team’s fanbase much to look forward to.
The No. 2 overall pick is preparing to play both cornerback and wide receiver, unprecedented in the modern era. He has been electric in training despite the disturbance of his father’s arrest last month.
The reigning Heisman has split his reps on offense and defense in training camp and lined up on both ends of the ball in his preseason debut against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Hunter played 11 snaps on offense and 19 on defense, recording three catches for 16 yards while giving a decent account of himself on defense, although he noticeably missed on a tackle.
It will be interesting to see whether he leans more toward receiver or cornerback, but his rookie season will intrigue all the same, no matter where he places his focus.
