Colorado Buffaloes football head coach Deion Sanders poured cold water over a rumor about his son, Shedeur Sanders, purchasing a luxurious vehicle after signing his rookie deal.

Shedeur’s brother, Deion Sanders Jr., recently posted a behind-the-scenes video of Coach Prime’s estate. At one point in the video, a dark green Rolls-Royce car can be seen being delivered to Sanders’ residence:

Despite being drafted in the 5th round, Sanders had performed phenomenally thus far in Cleveland.

Many speculated that the Rolls-Royce belongs to Shedeur Sanders, who signed his four-year rookie deal with the Cleveland Browns worth $4.6 million last week. According to Deion Sanders, however, the car does not belong to his son.

The popular @NFLNotify X/Twitter account posted the rumor about Shedeur purchasing the $500,000 Rolls-Royce. But Deion Sanders clapped back with a one-word message, writing “LIES!” in response:

LIES!

We’ll assume that the car belongs to Prime Time, then. The Pro Football Hall of Famer has a special car collection that includes a 1988 Mercedes-Benz 560SEC and a 1967 Ford Thunderbird, so why wouldn’t he want a vintage Rolls-Royce to go with it?

Shedeur Sanders told reporters two weeks ago that he wasn’t purchasing anything big, citing the size of his signing bonus. Though he has millions in his bank account, a $500,000 vehicle certainly qualifies as a big purchase.

The Browns drafted Sanders in the fifth round (144th overall). He’s one of five quarterbacks on the depth chart, along with fellow rookie Dillon Gabriel, Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett and Deshaun Watson.
