Deion Sanders’ life these days feels like a roller-coaster ride, with some things going well and others going badly.
Colorado’s season was extremely disappointing, which is a negative. Still, at the same time, his son, Shedeur Sanders, is starting to get opportunities as a starting quarterback, which is a positive.
Ever since Shedeur began representing the team as the starting quarterback, Coach Prime has been present on game days every time, and it’s likely that the Colorado head coach will also attend the Browns vs. Bengals final game to watch his son.
However, analyst Mat Smith believes Deion Sanders should stay with Colorado rather than make that move.
Mat Smith said, “I think he should be wherever he feels the need to be. I’m just being real with you.”
“If he feels like he can go to the game, and he can get all of his work done, fine by me. I don’t think it’s a best visual, but he can do it.” Mat added
Later, he concluded, saying, “It’s certainly not the best visual when you go three and nine, but he can do it.”
However, Matt Smith also said that even if Deion Sanders attends Shedeur Sanders’ game, he fully supports that decision.
Still, Smith’s initial point carries weight, as attending an NFL game could create a poor public perception of Coach Prime and make him appear unserious about the program.
Now the biggest question is what Deion Sanders will do. Will he attend his son Shedeur Sanders’ final game, or will he stay back in Boulder?
From what we know about Coach Prime, he never worries about what people will think and makes his decisions like a free bird.
So in that case, it feels very likely that Prime will attend his son’s game.
As for recruiting duties, that work isn’t going to stop just because Deion Sanders steps away for a bit.
Colorado now has an OC like Brennan Marion, who is being viewed as a future head coach. Even in Coach Prime’s absence, Marion can handle things well.
That said, CU Buffs fans may not fully understand this, and it’s possible the Colorado head coach could face trolling—but dealing with trolls is nothing new for Deion Sanders.
In the end, we don’t know what decision Coach Prime will make, but the affection and support he has always shown toward his son make it clear that he is likely to attend the Browns vs. Bengals final game.
