Pittsburgh is getting a little older on defense and could use an upgrade in the secondary, so they definitely could use the pick on that side of the ball. However, with no second-round pick and no long-term options at quarterback, they should take a shot on a signal caller with this pick. Dart has seen his stock rise as of late and this seems like the area of the draft Jaxson will be selected. He is going to need some time to develop, but if Aaron Rodgers eventually signs, that will give him one or two years to learn under one of the all-time greats. Dart has the athletic ability and arm talent to develop into a quality starter in this league.

Boosting the passing attack is one of the Chargers top priorities in this draft, last year’s breakout rookie WR Ladd McConkey being the only real threat they have right now. Loveland would immediately be the new starter at TE, his athleticism and catching ability adding a dimension to the Chargers offense that journeymen Will Dissly and Tyler Conklin can not. His contribution in blocking will not be as substantial. Of course, Loveland knows the coach of the Chargers well already too; Harbaugh having recruited him to Michigan. The Chargers will look to address their other needs, namely Offensive Guard and Defensive Line in later rounds.

With the NFL Draft in their home this year, the Cheese Heads will be looking for their team to make a big splash. Will this be the year the Packers draft a first round Number 1 wide receiver? No.
At Pick 23, Green Bay cannot pass on a talent like Shemar Stewart. The uber-athletic Edge rusher from TAMU plays at a premium position and would be a disruptive force in the NFCN for years to come.
