Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy has responded to claims that he is not as tall as he claims to be.
Portnoy is always in the news for some reason or another, and last week, he stole a lion’s share of the headlines after belittling and disrespecting Barstool employee Kirk Minihane during an argument over antisemitism.
He later began trending on X for supposedly lying about his height, with several photos of him getting on his toes for pictures going into circulation. Along with these photos, there were claims that his listed 5ft 10in height on Google is false, and he’s actually a lot shorter.
The 48-year-old took to X to respond on Sunday, claiming the photos showing him on his tippy toes are fake.
“Of all the lies told about me this is the most egregious. People are literally photoshopping me standing on my tippy toes now,” he wrote in a tweet.
It doesn’t appear that he’s convinced many people, however.
“Let’s get a live vid of you getting your height measured,” someone suggested.

Who knows? Maybe the clip was digitally altered, too.
As for his outburst last week, Dave Portnoy has doubled down with claims of this being the culture at Barstool.
Maybe Kirk Minihane will be a bit braver now that he might be aware that he’s dealing with a shorter person than he realized.
