Sunday’s Week 5 game between the Las Vegas Raiders and the Indianapolis Colts Sunday features a matchup of veteran quarterbacks who were available this past offseason in Geno Smith and Daniel Jones.
The Raiders traded a third-round draft pick to the Seattle Seahawks for Smith and then gave the 35-year-old a a two-year contract extension worth $75 million with $66.5 million in guaranteed money. Jones signed with the Colts as a free agent on a one-year, $14 million deal.
So far, Jones has worked out much better for the Colts than Smith ahs for the Raiders. Jones has led the Colts to a surprising 3-1 record and he has completed 71.9 percent of his passes and has thrown just two interceptions. Meanwhile, Smith leads the NFL with seven interceptions thrown and has struggled in the past three games, all losses for the 1-3 Raiders.
