Jeremiah takes an offensive weapon for the Jets
We should probably expect some Detroit Lions type moves in the near future given that the New York Jets hired Aaron Glenn to be their next head coach.
One such aspect that seems unique to the Lions is the lesser importance they place on positional value. Indeed, their GM Brad Holmes went as far as to self-identify as a “positional villain” while expanding on his thoughts in press conferences such as the one linked below.
We might then anticipate that the New York Jets are more likely to be looking for “good football players” regardless of their position than the average team. In line with that, Daniel Jeremiah released his first mock draft and drafted Penn State tight end Tyler Warren to the Jets. Expanding on his rationale, Jeremiah wrote the following:
Warren is one of my favorite players in this draft. He will be popular with his quarterback and running backs as a difference-making in-line tight end.
Of note, Warren was tremendously effective this season with the following statistics:
What do you think? Would Warren be a good selection with the 7th overall pick?
