Dan Quinn spoke to the media for the third day in a row, in a short-week schedule that sees them traveling to Green Bay tomorrow, to face the Packers on Thursday Night Football. The Commanders defeated the Giants at home Sunday, and listed six new injuries on yesterday’s estimated injury report based on a walkthrough. Jayden Daniels was list with a right wrist injury, but a full participant. Quinn has no concerns, and said yesterday was about recovery. Tress Way was the only Commanders player to leave the game and be listed as questionable. He took a big hit on a punt attempt when Giants rookie LB Abdul Carter beat TE Ben Sinnott on his rush. Way said he’s feeling better, and he’s expected to get some punts in at practice today.
The Packers are considered Super Bowl contenders this season, and adding LB Micah Parsons has helped maintain those projections. Quinn talked about the speed of their defense, and that’s something that the three-time All-Pro adds to that group. Quinn coached Parsons with the Dallas Cowboys who traded their best defensive player away before the season started. He was asked how he’d stop Parsons, and he joked, “If I was his coach, I’d sit him.”
