Dan Quinn spoke to the media before the team headed inside their new practice bubble for a jog-thru. The Commanders had off yesterday, and have four more days to prepare for their preseason home debut against the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday Night Football. Quinn announced that the team’s scheduled joint practice next week with the Baltimore Ravens had been cancelled after they couldn’t get the timing right. He said this wouldn’t affect starters playing time, but it will be their only opportunity to get live reps against another team before the season opener against the New York Giants. Quinn also announced the signing of veteran CB Daryl Worley.
Sometimes, schedules don’t sync up. I visited with John last night, and he’s always choosing the best choices for players. So, every once in a while, it just doesn’t sync up. We’re bummed; we got a lot of respect for them and were looking forward to it, but we’ll get to see them a couple days after that.
