The offseason of hype for Buffalo Bills tight end Dalton Kincaid continues.

And this specific propelling of Kincaid’s hype train came from the softball diamond.

In Greg Rousseau’s charity softball game at ESL Ballpark in downtown Rochester, Kincaid was the star of the show. Before the game began, a large collection of Bills players participated in a classic home run derby.

Kincaid ran away with the title, calling his shot — a bomb to left left — for the derby-clinching dinger.

But Kincaid wasn’t done demonstrating his athletic talents in front of Bills Mafia in Rochester.

Actually before I continue any further, this video is a must-add from the home run derby.

The cross-handed home run is, just, wow. A thing of beauty. And a fine demonstration of Mathis’ hand-eye coordination and upper-body strength.

OK, now let’s move onto the game.

Kincaid hit a three-run homer in his first at bat, per the wonderful gentlemen at TrainWreck Sports. He ultimately hit four home runs in the game (!), which ended with a blowout win for the offense, featured this spectacular diving grab from pitcher Ray Davis in the final inning.

Though the offense won the bragging rights for a year, newcomer Dee Alford did make a nice grab in center field and demonstrated his explosiveness in his celebration.

It looks as though a tremendous time was had by all on the field and in attendance, and Kincaid in particular. After back-to-back seasons in which he was hampered with nagging injuries, Kincaid’s more chiseled physique has drawn rave reviews from those during spring workouts, even when it has come to his participation in a team tug-o-war game.

Of course, none of these events equate to football in terms of physical demands, but Kincaid looks bigger and more limber than in either of the last two offseasons. That’s a good sign for the fourth-year tight end and the Bills offense as a whole.

The proceeds for this softball game went to the The Rousseau Family Foundation, which on its website has this as its mission statement:

“The Rousseau Family Foundation inspires and empowers children from low-income communities to achieve their educational and career goals. We provide resources, mentorship, and support to help them overcome barriers and succeed. By uplifting underprivileged families through financial assistance, education programs, and career readiness initiatives, we create opportunities for brighter futures and lasting change. Together, we’re building a foundation for success, one child and one family at a time.”
