Dallas Cowboys OL Rob Jones won’t be playing any football anytime soon.
The offensive line depth for the Dallas Cowboys has taken a hit as Jones is set to miss multiple months due to a broken bone in his neck.
Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter and Todd Archer, Jones is expected to miss two to three months after suffering the injury during Sunday’s practice.

Jones had been working with the starting offensive line during training camp, per Schefter.
The Dallas Cowboys opened training camp last Tuesday. Their first preseason game is scheduled for Aug. 9 against the Los Angeles Rams.
Rob Jones started all 17 games at left guard for the Dolphins in 2024. He allowed five sacks and 28 pressures across 1,080 snaps, per Pro Football Focus. His pass-blocking grade was 54.3, according to PFF.
Prior to turning pro, Jones spent two seasons at Middle Tennessee State.
After spending the previous four years with the Miami Dolphins, Rob Jones is in his first season with the Cowboys.
The former Middle Tennessee State star signed a one-year deal worth a reported $3.75 million with Dallas.
The 26-year-old will be down for a few months after he suffered a broken neck. His one-year deal and this injury may not result in a second contract.
Jones played left guard and right guard for the Dolphins during the 2022 and 2023 seasons, including making 12 starts at left guard.
He started all 17 games at left guard for the Dolphins in 2024.
