The Dallas Cowboys are reportedly one of the teams speaking to the Miami Dolphins about a blockbuster trade for superstar cornerback Jalen Ramsey.

Before the NFL Draft last month, Dolphins general manager Chris Grier told reporters that they’re looking to trade Jalen Ramsey. Grier said they “decided that it was probably in the best interest for all parties to move forward.” The future Hall of Famer is signed through the 2028 season.

Speaking on “SportsCenter,” ESPN NFL insider Jeremy Fowler reports that the Cowboys are among the possible suitors that could acquire Ramsey. Fowler added that Ramsey’s $24.2 million in guaranteed money has delayed a potential trade up to this point:

“Nothing imminent yet…The Dolphins haven’t shown a willingness to pay that money, neither do teams…NFC East could be one to watch. Dallas Cowboys? Look, they’ve made three trades this offseason…could they make a fourth trade on an NFL veteran…Certainly.”

Yesterday, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN mentions the #Cowboys “could be one to watch” for a Jalen Ramsey trade.

Why? They still have a need at the position and have shown to be aggressive this offseason with trades.

Nothing imminent; just something to monitor.

A Cowboys source told Fowler that the team “could always be looking to add.”

Fowler said that the Los Angeles Rams are among the clubs that’ve talked to Miami about Jalen Ramsey. The All-Pro corner played for LA from 2019 to 2022, helping them to a Super Bowl 56 championship in the 2021 season.

The cap-strapped Rams traded Ramsey to the Dolphins in the 2023 offseason. In two seasons there, the seven-time Pro Bowler tallied five interceptions, 16 pass breakups and one sack. For his career, Ramsey has 24 interceptions and 108 pass breakups.

Jalen Ramsey Would Give Dallas Cowboys The NFL’s Best Cornerback Room

If the Dolphins somehow added the Miami star to the mix, they would feature three All-Pro corners in Ramsey, Trevon Diggs and DaRon Bland. Ramsey may not be in his prime anymore, but he’s still very good and would draw more favorable matchups as Dallas’ No. 2 or 3 cornerback.
