The Dallas Cowboys have been hit with an injury setback, with starting offensive tackle Tyler Guyton set to miss the rest of their training camp.

Reports note that Guyton sustained a “bone fracture” in practice, which sounds pretty bad… until compared with an ACL tear. There were fears that the OT had indeed torn his ACL, but an MRI has determined that he’s dealing with a fracture and will not require surgery.

“Tyler Guyton’s ACL is intact after a MRI, according to a source. He has a bone fracture and will not require surgery. Looking at a 4-6 week recovery,” ESPN’s Todd Archer reports. “Cowboys get better than expected news.”

Guyton is heading into his second year in the NFL after starting in 11 of his 15 appearances for the Cowboys in 2024. The 29th overall pick last year, he played over 600 snaps.

The Cowboys are thought to be keen on pairing him with Tyler Booker, another first-round offensive lineman, and will hope to have him fit for the start of the season.

Dallas has also seen veteran wide receiver Parris Campbell sustain a leg injury, but, like Guyton, he should not be out very long, as he has been diagnosed with an MCL sprain.

“Update on some injuries: Cowboys WR Parris Campbell has a MCL sprain in his knee, according to a person with knowledge of the injury,” team insider Calvin Watkins noted.

Despite the setbacks, the Cowboys have been fortunate not to have their players go down with serious problems, compared to some of the other injuries around the league over the last week.

Fans will hope it stays that way.
