A disgruntled fan was kicked out of Dallas Cowboys practice and holding an anti-Jerry Jones sign and starting an angry two-word chant.
Jerry Jones is one of the most polarizing figures in NFL history, yes. But his popularity among Cowboys fans has waned with each passing year since their last Super Bowl championship three decades ago.
Jones hasn’t won any more fans with his handling of the Micah Parsons contract saga. The All-Pro linebacker requested a trade from the organization earlier this month after months of unproductive extension talks.
And it didn’t help that Jones tried blaming Jay-Z and Roc Nation over his decision to negotiate directly with Parsons instead of his agent, leading to a scathing response from them.
One Cowboys fan has had enough of Jerry Jones as the general manager and wanted his voice heard at practice. The fan held up a sign reading “Fire the GM”, while starting “Fire Jerry!” chants.
Unsurprisingly, that led to security kicking the fan out:

On Tuesday, ESPN’s Adam Schefter stated that he’s “comfortable” to say that Parsons won’t finish his career in Dallas. With the regular season opener against the Philadelphia just two weeks away, the clock is ticking on the Cowboys and Parsons to find a resolution.
A reporter recently asked Jerry Jones if he considered removing himself from the GM chair, to which he said, for “small fractions of seconds.” And it was certainly the answer that most Cowboys fans didn’t want.
Jones is too stubborn and arrogant to remove himself as the general manager. If winning was everything to him, he wouldn’t have forced Jimmy Johnson out after consecutive Super Bowl victories (seriously, which other NFL owner would do that?)
Jerry Jones only wants to win a Super Bowl if it’s a team he built, and if it’s a front office and coaching staff of people he likes. He didn’t want Johnson around, but he was happy to keep Jason Garrett and Mike McCarthy for a combined 15 (!) seasons. That alone shows you why he’s not competent to stick around as the GM, but he’s never going to change his ways.
