Dallas Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs returned to the field for the first time since late October after being sidelined with a concussion. According to Diggs, that concussion came from trying to mount a television in his home.

According to a report from NFL Network’s Jane Slater on Sunday, the 27-year-old Trevon Diggs — the younger brother of wide reciever Stefon Diggs — revealed that he suffered the concussion as he was trying to put a television up in his home with a pole mount that extended from the ceiling.

Slater said that Diggs described it as “trying to be a handyman,” but the TV and mount fell on his head, resulting in a concussion. The University of Alabama product added that he “shouldn’t have been” trying to be a “handyman.”

“It was a blessing, it felt amazing,” Diggs said of returning to the field. “Super excited. Super happy to get to go out there and compete with my brothers.”

While Diggs’ career got off to a torrid start — he started in 44 games and had 17 interceptions across those three seasons. In 2023 and 2024, however, he started in just 13 games and has just three interceptions.

Diggs’ future with the Dallas Cowboys beyond this season is uncertain, as the team can release him to save around $15 million on their salary cap.

The Cowboys, who have bee knocked out of playoff contention, will close out their 2025 campaign with road matchups against the Washington Commanders and New York Giants.
