Dallas Cowboys star KaVontae Turpin has been arrested and is facing concerning charges.
The kick return specialist has been hit with two misdemeanor charges after being taken into police custody in Allen, Texas, this Sunday.
It’s reported that the 28-year-old has been charged with a Class B misdemeanor for possession of under two ounces of marijuana and a Class A misdemeanor for unlawfully carrying a firearm. His bond was set at $500 for the marijuana charge and $1,000 for the firearm charge.

Turpin is coming off a breakout season in Dallas, during which he was selected as a First-Team All-Pro for the first time and made his second Pro Bowl appearance.
A speedster boasting incredible dynamism and agility, he led the NFL in kick return average last term while also playing significant snaps at wide receiver and running back.
This is not the first time he’s been in legal trouble. Previous assault charges from his time at TCU and other behavioral issues saw him dismissed from the team, which delayed his entry into the pros.
The Cowboys have not issued a statement on KaVontae Turpin’s charges, but with training camp looming, his future with the team could be in jeopardy based on how the legal process goes.
